“Women do not have penises; transgender children do not exist.” That is the message of an orange bus that drives through Madrid. It campaigns against the new transgender law the Spanish government is considering.

“Women do not have penises; transgender children do not exist.” That is the message of an orange bus that drives through Madrid. It campaigns against the new transgender law the Spanish government is considering.

According to HazteOir, the organisation that is the initiator behind the campaign, the new transgender law leaves women and children unprotected, against “serious abuses, such as mutilation of their genitals, hormone therapy and sterilisation.” That is reported by Europa Press.

The organisation fears minors will demand “irreversible surgeries that affect their genitals for life.” Furthermore, they criticise the fact that if biological sex is ignored, people will be able to change their gender whenever they want.

The orange bus also carries a QR code that directs to a website that warns against the consequences of the trans law, among other things.

Dignity

HazteOir made the bus five years ago when it wanted to make people aware of the contradictions and dangers of teaching children that biological sex is irrelevant and can be changed, European Conservative writes. The bus caused much controversy, and the organisation even faced court cases because it was argued that their slogans were an attack on the dignity of a person, according to El Espanol.

Recently, the transgender bill caused upheaval among politicians because the Socialist Party, which used to be a fervent supporter of the proposal, wanted to amend the current draft. That was reported by CNE.news. At the moment, the draft reads that minors should be able to change their gender without needing consent from their parents. However, the Socialist party now wants them to get permission from a judge before undergoing gender reassignment.
