Children in France are being brainwashed at school by LGBT organisations. That is what the presidential candidate Eric Zemmour thinks. According to him, it is necessary to return to a more conservative education model.

"You are still the most hated men and women in France." Zemmour started his argument by attacking the gathered press. This writes the French news website Public Senat. According to the 63-year-old, the journalists are "hostages of an ideology". An ideology that is playing out at schools.

"For the last 40 years, children in schools have been completely indoctrinated by LGBT organisations. And school should not be a place where LGBT activists and racist activists brainwash our children", Zemmour said, according to the French Huffington Post. The candidate also praised the example of Poland and Hungary, which are actively blocking the ideological influence of LGBT organisations in schools.

Sharpening words

According to the Latvian news portal Laikmetis, Eric Zemmour also said the president-elect would remove foreign languages from the elementary school program to focus on math and French. However, Zemmour also expressed support for teaching Greek and Latin at all universities.

Furthermore, the former journalist and political commentator wants to reintroduce handing out diplomas at the end of primary school, a practice which was abolished more than 50 years ago as children increasingly entered secondary schools. This writes the news portal Remix News.

The presidential elections in France will be held from April 10th to April 24th. In the last few weeks, other candidates have sharpened their words. Last week, the incumbent president Macron caused uproar after he vowed to "piss off" the unvaccinated.
