Swiss National Council proposes legalisation egg cell donation

The National Council of Switzerland wants to permit egg cell donation for married couples where if the woman is infertile.

A Dutch gynaecologist used his sperm during fertility treatments. After opening an emergency phone number, several dozens of people reported themselves to receive more information. And it seems that he is not the only one.

Dutch government not able to set limit on sperm donations

It is impossible to regulate that sperm donors conceive a maximum number of offspring with desirable parents. Dutch Health Minister Ernst Kuipers wrote in a letter to the Parliament that he has "no means" to stop this phenomenon.

Russian bill: Surrogacy only available to Russian citizens

A group of parliamentarians has submitted a bill under which surrogacy programs will only be available to Russian citizens in Russia. Too many children end in abuse or sexual slavery, the politicians say.
