The weeks before the European elections were an avalanche for Valeriia Petrechkiv. From her student apartment in Paris, France, she follows the EU integration of her home country, Ukraine.

Born and raised in Ukraine, Valeriia moved abroad at the age of 15 for an exchange year in the U.S. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and Development at the LCC International University in Lithuania and is currently pursuing an MPP in Politics and Public Policy from SciencesPo, Paris. Valeriia is president of the European Christian Political Youth (ECPYouth). Being interested in political communication, European integration, nationalism, defence, and migration policies, Valeriia has experience interning as an EU policy researcher at VoteWatch Europe (EU Matrix) and working as a job coach at a refugee agency in the Netherlands. In her spare time, Valeriia is most likely to be found visiting international networking events and travelling to European cities.
