Europe-wide many Christians are mobilising against national vaccination campaigns. According to these people, the campaigns would have “totalitarian” traits. “The line between urge and coercion is fluid”, Joop Buker believes. He is the spokesperson of the Dutch website Christenen Collectief (Christians Collective).

On the website of the German Christian network “Christen im Widerstand” (Christians in Resistance), a call is made to resist “the forces of darkness, which especially since the corona crisis threaten our freedom and democracy.” The website contains many videos and information against vaccination.

The organisation speaks about the “disproportionate” nature of the corona measures and disastrous consequences of these rules. “Old people died lonely, and churches closed their doors, all in the name of health and charity. It is time for the church of Jesus to stand up, engage in prayer and raise our voices in clarity and truth.”

Be vigilant and prepared

In the Netherlands, Christians are mobilising on the website “Wakkere kerk” (Waking Church). One of them is looking for "like-minded Christians" who disagree with the government measures surrounding Covid-19. “Discover people in your area who, like you, are alert to world events and to the rollout of Agenda 2030 and the Great Reset, which makes exclusion from certain services more and more reality. Come and connect. Jesus calls us to be vigilant and prepared for what is to come. We need each other to make sense of the warnings and prophecies of the Bible today.”

The goal of the platform is for Christians to know how to find each other locally. Most of the groups listed are located in the Bible belt (a region in the Netherlands –that stretches from the southwest, through the centre of the country, to parts in the northeast– with many conservative protestants). According to the website “three women in the prime of their lives” lead the organisation.

Negative impact

The website “Christenen Collectief” is an initiative of Joop Buker, a retired biologist. He set up the website because the national Covid-19 policy has “an enormous negative impact on people’s lives, families, education, business, in short: on the whole of society.”

The organisation finds it “extremely bad” that vaccination, which it says is “less effective” than portrayed, is being forced on people. “Vaccination with means of which many harmful side effects, up to death, have now been reported, while drugs that are proven to be working, are banned.” People are working toward “discrimination in society based on testing and vaccination through a vaccination passport.”

The website refers to a critical historical analysis by Laurens van der Tang in the Dutch newspaper Reformatorisch Dagblad. Van der Tang states: “Our society is moving toward a society with totalitarian tendencies. Every Dutchman is urged to get vaccinated against Covid-19, on pain of discrimination.”

The participants of Christians Collective pronounce “that behind the Covid-19 measures imposed by governments worldwide, there is a central direction and that it corresponds to announcements over several years from globalist organisations and their leaders. We see in these measures outlines of prophecies from the Bible, especially the book of Revelation.”

For almost two years, the government’s vaccination policy has been based on opinions of one select group with “limited expertise”, and the models used for it are not publicly available, Joop Buker says when asked. “New data and insights from many specialists at home and abroad are not incorporated.”

You speak of discrimination and state coercion. There may be a vaccination urge, but that is not coercion, is it?
“The line between urge and coercion is fluid. If people are in danger of losing their jobs because of the rules, life is very difficult. Is that then a form of urge or coercion?”

Is vaccination against the coronavirus dangerous? “Never before such a program has been rolled out over such a large part of the population with so little prior research. Reports of side effects, including death, have come from all over the world. Many reports have also been made to “Lareb” (the Dutch pharmacovigilance centre that identifies risks associated with the use of medicines, ed.) and other agencies. Proportionally more side effects have been recorded than for any other drug. Young people are at the greatest risk. It is not for nothing that several previously authorised brands are no longer used at all or only for certain groups. The government is doing a bad job, in my opinion.”

The ICUs are predominantly full of unvaccinated people. “Mutating viruses can become more contagious, but at the same time, they become less pathogenic. In addition, there are always far fewer respiratory infections in the summer. Last year, too, this appeared to be the case for Covid-19. Therefore, that the numbers are lower now is not surprising, and it is not substantiated to point to vaccination as the cause for this.”
