Germans think media should cover more persecution of Christians

The persecution of Christians is not being discussed enough in German media. That is what most Germans think.
The Christian press agency IDEA ordered a survey to see whether media cover persecution of Christians sufficiently. Among Evangelical Christians, an absolute majority think that the media, in general, pay too little attention to the phenomenon. Of the German Muslim population, 31 per cent thinks the media should do better.
Left-leaning
On a political scale, right-leaning voters tend to agree with the statement more than left-leaning voters; especially among AFD voters (59 per cent), people think that the media do a bad job. Voters of Die Linke (The Left), on the contrary, mostly (36 per cent in favour) disagreed with the question.
The reason for the survey is the release of the new Open Doors World Watch list. On it, Turkey seems to be the worst European country to live in as a Christian. There was some criticism towards the process of making a list. Open Doors has stated to review its methodology.
