A Bible-based Christian website gives young Norwegians answers to questions about sexuality and gender. Recently, this website was also launched in English.

"I have dreamed about this for years, and it is a historic event. As far as we know, it is the only website in English with this topic", says doctor and researcher Sven Weum to the Norwegian Christian press agency Kristelig Pressekontor.

Weum and his wife Maren, a nurse, have been part of the Norwegian Christian organisation GuttOgJente (Boys and Girls) since its founding in 2012. This website has over 1300 questions about gender, sexuality and emotions based on a biblical view of life. These questions are submitted by teenagers and young adults and answered by people with theological and medical expertise. In addition, there are many articles and podcasts available.

But now, this website also has an English version: boyandgirl.info. More than 130 questions and answers and close to 100 articles have been published on the new webpage. At the moment, four people are working on translations. Mr and Mrs Weum have been the driving force behind the new initiative. According to them, there is a demand for an English version of the website.

The Weum couple acknowledges that there could be cultural differences that they have to take into account when translating the questions. "We will evaluate all questions on the Norwegian side and see if they should be on the English side. But essentially, we believe that the answers given from theological and medical expertise can be given to everyone. Should we be made aware of answers that we should look into more closely, we will, of course, do so."
