CNE.news will continue as a platform from January 2026 onwards, focusing not only on news but also on opinion formation and agenda-setting for relevant topics.

The new CNE will primarily do this in an international context and has plans to participate in international Christian networks. CNE.news was established in 2021 within the Erdee Media Group (EMG) to meet the European need for informative reporting from a Christian perspective.

Focus on EMG

At this time, EMG has decided to focus on the Dutch-language market from 2026 onwards. The experience gained from this collaboration will be applied to existing EMG titles, including the Reformatorisch Dagblad. Staff previously loaned to CNE will now be redeployed to other tasks within EMG.

Focus on CNE

The new CNE will continue to closely monitor European developments, which will include news articles. Over time, it has become clear that CNE's primary strategy lies primarily in addressing issues relevant to the Christian faith within social and political agendas. Intensive collaboration with other Christian organisations, think tanks, and Christian politicians is crucial to this.
