Several Christian associations, under which A Rocha and FPF, join climate marches on Saturday. In total, 126 rallies are planned throughout the country.

The so-called Look Up event organisers call the French to mobilise against climate change. The Look Up event also aims to challenge the twelve French presidential campaign candidates regarding the climate emergency, Evangeliques.info writes. The march is scheduled for March 12.

Climate change is the greatest threat to humanity; the future of mankind is at stake, the organisers of the event write on their website. "While the mobilisations and initiatives for the climate and social justice have never been so intense in recent years, the debate is stifled by the health crisis and the controversies fueled by specific candidates. Let's not our rights and our future remain hostage to those who lead us to disaster.

According to the Look Up event website, more than 540 organisations responded to the call. Among them, there are also several Christian associations. Evangeliques.info reports that A Rocha, United Christians for the Eart, the movement of social Christianity, Eclaireuses et Eclaireurs unionists de France, and the Union of Protestant Churches.

Recently, the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) published a new report, which confirms that the "consequences of climate change are a threat to human well-being." States should act immediately, UN climate experts say.
