Abducted Ukrainian bishop released

The Ukrainian bishop, Dmitry Budyu, has been released by his Russian captors. Nine days after his abduction, he was able to return home.
Budyu is the leader of the Word of Life Church in Melitopol. In addition, he bears responsibility for 20 congregations of the denomination.
Budyu's wife writes in a Facebook post that her husband is doing well. She thanks everyone for their prayers and sympathy. "God is good. Praise the Lord", she adds to that.
Christian Åkerhielm, the director of the Word of Life congregations, confirms to Dagen that Budyu returned home again. Åkerhielm: "From what I understand, he came home on Sunday." Åkerhielm cannot say anything about what happened to Budyu during his captivity, as he cannot have any contact with him. "Telecommunications are down in Melitopol, so it is complicated to communicate with Dmitry and his wife", he says.
Earlier this month, Budyu was kidnapped by the Russian invaders while he was in Church. He and his wife expected that he would come home the same day, but that did not happen. Instead, the bishop remained in captivity for about nine days.
